An engagement session is more than practice for a wedding day. These sessions help you press pause and capture who you are right now. Whether you’re celebrating a recent “yes,” visiting Chicago for a weekend, or simply wanting to mark this season together, these photos become a timeless reminder of your story. My goal is to create a space where you can relax, laugh, and feel at ease, even if having a camera in your face isn’t your usual comfort zone. The result? Images that feel natural, joyful, and genuinely to you to memoralize your relationship and the start of your legacy together.

Engagement sessions should feel like an experience, not just a photoshoot. My approach is a balance of guidance and space: I’ll gently direct you so you never feel lost in front of the camera, but I’ll also leave plenty of room for your personalities to shine through. Think of it as me providing you with the framework, while you fill it in with your own laughter, quirks, and connections.
From the very start, I’ll help you plan your session so it feels true to who you are - whether that’s exploring a favorite neighborhood, dressing up for an editorial city chic look, or keeping things cozy and playful by the lake.
During the session, expect to feel a sense of lightness and ease. I’ll give you direction when needed, but leaving stiffness or over posing out. Couples often tell me it feels more like hanging out together than being photographed, and that’s exactly the point. The best images happen when you’re relaxed, connected, and just being yourselves.

9 hours of wedding day coverage with two photographers gives you flexibility and peace of mind — keeping the timeline relaxed and ensuring nothing feels rushed, from getting ready through the dance floor. With two photographers, every perspective and reaction is captured.
Instead of a traditional engagement session, you’ll enjoy pre-welcome party portraits in the city before heading to the port, followed by 3 hours of welcome party coverage on the boat to document the energy and joy with your guests.
After the wedding, you’ll receive a 50-image preview gallery within one week, with your full collection delivered in a high-resolution online gallery (active for one year) to easily download, share, and print your memories.

Destination Sessions
TRAVEL DETAILS -
- Clients will pay a flat fee determined based on the destination of the location.
- Fee will include accommodations, per diem, and transportation.
- I arrive the day before the scheduled session to scout and leave the day after the session.
Even if being in front of the camera feels intimidating, I promise it won’t here. Sessions are filled with movement, laughter, and moments that remind you why you fell in love in the first place.

Once you let me know you'd like to move forward, I will send you a contract and invoice. After you've signed the contract and paid your $300 non-refundable retainer, we're all set and can begin planning!

When do we receive the gallery back?
The number of images you receive will vary depending on the length of your session, the number of outfits you wear, and whether there are multiple locations. All couples can expect a guaranteed minimum of 30 images in their gallery, with most galleries receiving an average of 50-75 images.

In your invoice, you can pay via a card of their choice (credit or debit - with a 3% fee). There is also the option of an "E-Check" within the invoice with no fee. Clients can also pay via Zelle or mail a physical check. There are also options to use payment plan systems such as Affirm within the invoice as well.
